Order throttling controls the number of orders received per 15-minute slot. Once a time slot fills up with orders, it will disappear and only allow your customer to select an available time slot.
This feature ensures the flow of orders going to the kitchen and drivers is kept under control, especially on busy weekends! Watch our video guide on how to set this up:
Step by Step Instructions:
Note: Throttles should not overlap. Example: 9am-5pm & 5pm-11pm as opposed to 9am-5pm & 4:30pm-11pm.
- Navigate to Change Store Setup and select Store Info.
- Select the Location from the left-hand side of the screen and then select the Advanced tab along the top.
- Scroll down to βTHROTTLING ORDERSβ and select βAdd Throttleβ.
- From here you can select the day when the throttle is enabled, the time start and end, the number of orders in every 15 minutes, and lastly, toggle on for which fulfillment the throttle will be available for (delivery, pick-up, drive-up).
- Click βSaveβ and βPublishβ.
Tip: If you refund a pre-order that was in a throttle slot, the slot will become available again for a new order to take its place.
