Order Batching

Order batching is a feature of our Order@Table platform that collates orders from the same table all together making life much easier for your kitchen & bar.

Order Batching works by asking your customer if they are ordering with friends when they first scan the QR Code, this will automatically be toggled on but they have the option to turn it off.

Once that person has completed their order then HungryHungry will hold the order for a set amount of time to allow the others on their table to order before it sends the order.

You can adjust the time the order is held in 2 ways

"WAIT FOR X SECONDS WITHOUT ORDER BEFORE SENDING BATCH TO POS"

What this setting does is tells HungryHungry how long to wait for each individual order, if no orders are placed in that time the order will send.

"MAXIMUM TIME TO HOLD ORDER (SECONDS)"

What this setting does is tells HungryHungry the maximum amount of time to wait for all orders, this will override the first setting.

:fire:Hot Tip: We have found that the best timings are 90 seconds and 300 seconds, this is long enough to capture orders but not too long that the customers are concerned by the wait.
