Mailing Lists

Through HungryHungry, you have the ability to import and export your Mailing Lists. This guide is going to walk you through how, as well as how to unsubscribe customers from your Mailing Lists.

Firstly, what is a Mailing List?

We’re so glad you asked! A Mailing List is a list of data from your customers who have placed an order with your venue. Mailing lists can be gathered in multiple ways, such as: 

1. An automatic list created from orders placed via HungryHungry.
2. An imported list from your OrderMate POS.
3. An imported list from any other POS solution or platform that your venue may have or still uses outside of HungryHungry. 

How to Import your Mailing List from OrderMate to HungryHungry

1. Go to the HungryHungry backend and navigate to 'Marketing Tools' and then select 'SMS Marketing'.
2. Click on 'Mailing List' and then select 'Import Customers From OrderMate POS'.
3. Then you can select to add it to an existing mailing list or create a new mailing list. 
4. From here, toggle the ‘I agree' then click ‘Submit'.
5. Once it has finished uploading, you’ll be able to see this within your Mailing Lists. 

How to Import your Mailing List from a CSV File

1. Go to the HungryHungry backend and navigate to 'Marketing Tools' and then select 'SMS Marketing'.
2. Click on 'Mailing List' and then select ‘Import Customer from CSV’.
3. From here, you’ll need to upload the CSV File. 
4. Toggle on ‘New mailing List’ so you can personalize the mailing List Name and Location.
5. From here, toggle the ‘I agree' then click ‘Submit'.
6. Once it has finished uploading, you’ll be able to see this within your Mailing Lists. 

How to Export your Mailing List from HungryHungry 

1. Go to the HungryHungry backend and navigate to 'Marketing Tools' and then select 'SMS Marketing'.
2. Click on ‘Mailing Lists’.
3. You’ll see all of your available Mailing Lists on the left-hand side, so simply click on one of them to continue. 
4. Navigate to the ‘Subscribers’ tab and select ‘Export’. 
5. Tick the ‘I Agree’ checkbox and then select ‘I Agree’ underneath. 
6. Your Mailing List will start to download and once it’s completed, it will be downloaded into a CSV File for you!

How to Unsubscribe a Customer from your Mailing List

1. Go to the HungryHungry backend and navigate to 'Marketing Tools' and then select 'SMS Marketing'.
2. Select ‘Mailing List’.
3. On the left-hand side, select the mailing list you require if there are multiple. 
4. Navigate to the ‘Subscribers’ tab. This will then open up the mailing list. 
5. Select the tab labelled ‘Unsubscribe customers’. 
6. Locate the customer from their mobile number. 
7. ‘Unsubscribe 04XX XXX XXX’ button.
