The HungryHungry platform does not use Java, so we are not affected by the Log4Shell vulnerability
A vulnerability has been identified within internet-facing systems that run on the Java virtual machines (JVM). CVE-2021-44228, is a critical vulnerability that’s affecting a Java logging package log4j which is used in a significant amount of software, including Apple iCloud, Steam, Minecraft and others.
This is a remote code execution vulnerability that if exploited, will enable an attacker to access the affected server.
These technologies aren't used in the HungryHungry platform, and our team has been working with third party integrators to ensure that any vulnerabilities are promptly patched. Given HungryHungry at it's core doesn't rely on Java or log4j, we are confident that we are unaffected by this, never the less we are keeping an eye on the situation.
