Collection Groups

A Collection Group is what holds multiple sizes of an item together on the customer ordering site. E.g. Small Pizza, Medium Pizza, Large Pizza, etc will all show as one item.

How to create a collection

  1. Go to 'Manage Menu' and select 'Collections'.

  2. To create a new Collection select 'Create New Collection'.
    Note: If a Collection Group already exists, it will appear in the list on the left (If you want to just edit or troubleshoot or edit - select it).

  3. Name the Collection Group the name of the item to avoid confusion.

  4. Add the items you want into the sections ‘Items’.

  5. Make sure you have toggled on the Menu Section they are supposed to be in.

  6. Click ‘Save’.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE For our POS integrated venues
You must first create a collection group in your POS. 
These should then be carried over with an import into the backend of HungryHungry.

Importing

For our POS integrated partners.

  • You can choose not to import Collections to HungryHungry - this is done by toggling ‘Don't Import Collections' at the bottom of the Configuration page in 'Imports’. 
  • Importing will not change the display title, image, or description of Collections in HungryHungry.

Collections not importing to HH from POS

  • Check that you can see the collections group in Import Preview List. 

  • Make sure all items have the same name ‘e.g. Pepperoni' - If they do not then they will not form a collection.

  • Make sure sizes in your POS are correct.

Items not grouping on the front end

  • Check the price level is enabled on the collection.

  • Make sure the correct menu section is selected for Collection Group.

  • Make sure description/image/display name is the same on all items and under Collection Group.

Image/description not showing

  • Check image/description is uploaded to correct Collection Group.

  • Make sure the correct Collection Group is enabled for the correct menu section.
